What should be paid attention to when designing the packaging box?

The packaging must remain in good condition under various conditions. These conditions are not only the sale and distribution of fruits, but also the handling and storage of fruits.

Some fruits, especially vegetables, are exposed to moisture during and after packaging. The packaging used for these types must be able to withstand long-term moisture contact. When the packaged fruit is cooled with ice, that is, ice is placed on the package or topped with ice during transportation, the package must be in contact with water, and it is required to maintain a good condition. The packaging of many horticultural products requires high relative humidity. Even if stored under a medium relative humidity (usually 85%-95%), the moisture released by the fruit itself can cause 100% relative temperature. To the destination market, when the fruit is taken out from the transportation vehicle or the storage warehouse, air moisture often deposits on the cold surface of the package. Therefore, the packaging must undergo special moisture-proof treatment or strengthen the strength of the corrugated board to avoid damage to the packaging.

Exposure of high-temperature packaging to the sun and field heat of the product is a problem in the harvest of all horticultural products and should be controlled to the utmost extent. The packaging design in the field must also pay attention to avoid deterioration. The light-colored cardboard can reflect more radiant heat than the natural cowhide swatch. Therefore, when the packaging materials are the same, the deterioration is slower. The flower box should have heat insulation to prevent heat and cold from affecting the flower. It has been reported that storing corrugated packaging at high temperatures can accelerate the delamination of the corrugated board, causing serious problems in use.
